Bayelsa State Government to recruit N-power beneficiaries

Bayelsa state Govenor, Henry Seriake Dickson has promised to recruit Bayelsa state N-power beneficiaries into the state civil service.


Hajia Maryam Uwais, the special advisor to the President on social investment programmes disclosed this on Wednesday 7th day of August 2019 in Yenagoa during the official exiting ceremony for N-Power 2016 beneficiaries and flag-off ceremony for the Market Moni and Trader Moni Programmes of the President Muhammadu Buhari-led government. She gave counts of the 2016 bayelsa state N-power beneficiaries in each local government that will be rounding up the for the programme.

According to Mrs Maryam Uwais,the federal government is in collaboration with state government and private sectors to sort for ways to engage 2016 N-power volunteers as they gradually come to the end of the program.

She also said that the Federal government are in partnership with private sectors in the country, and there are opportunities for those npower volunteers nation wide willing to work in that sector,one of which is the job of a bank agent,here beneficiaries will be trained on the job and they are to pay the sum of 50,000.00 naira but this will now be paid by the federal government. In her words “we have also come to an agreement with the Inspector general of police to recruit some of our beneficiaries as community police officers”.

For those N-power beneficiaries nation wide interested in the Agricultural sector, they will be given some hectares of land to farm and 50,000.00 naira refundable loan to start with.
She asked beneficiaries to always check on their npvn profile as more updates will be made available.
