As you know NIMC operates and regulates matters of national identity in Nigeria with services covering National Identification Number (NIN) enrolment and issuance, National e-ID card issuance, identity verification as well as data harmonization and authentication.

Today, on its twitter page, Nimc gave an update on all regular fees encompassing card renewal, card replacement,National e-id expiration. Here are are answers to the most frequent questions in respect to NIMC.

Registered and still havn’t gotten your permanent card : The most important token is the National identification Number issued upon successful enrollment.The NIN slip is also a valid means of identification and can be verified on our verification portal.

What is the process of gender change or any other change: Change of gender modification costs N500 for each field.

Card Renewal is N3000 – When your National e-id card expires it cost N3000 payable via remitta for renewal.

Card Replacement is N5000- Card expiration and card replacement is N5000 for lost or stolen cards.

How to claim your card if you can’t find the slip and phone number has changed: Kindly visit any of our offices near your with the phone number you were enrolled with to retrieve your NIN and check your card status.

Registered but  don’t have your number and the mobile code is saying no data: Kindly send NIMC your tracking id to help retrieve your NIN. Kindly visit the centre you were enrolled at or any of our offices near you to check your card status.
