Mahmud Mobilisation Group in Osun State presents one of its planned developmental programmes aimed at making life better for the people of Osun State, and Osogbo/Olorunda/Irepodun/Orolu federal constituency in particular.
The programme, this time around, is an annual event, designed to engage students of tertiary institutions on creative efforts. The programme is divided into three categories:
a. Essay writing
b. Creative writing (e.g, poems, short stories, playlets, etc.), and
The group aims to achieve, among others, the following objectives:
i. Catering for educational development in our constituency
ii. Creating a medium to assist creative tertiary institution students through scholarship
iii. Creating a platform to bring out the best from our tertiary institution students and promote them through Association of Nigerian Authors.
iv. Creating an atmosphere where youth are not only involved in the political activities of the state but also informed about and involved in the need for political education.
1st Prize – 100,000.00
2nd Prize – 75,000.00
3rd Prize – 50,000.00
√ Applications are invited from Osogbo, Olorunda, Irepodun and Orolu federal constituency.
√ Interested students should apply online by supplying required information on the form provided. Scanned copy of school ID cards or receipt of recent school fees, scanned copy of your state of origin should also be uploaded.
√ Themes of the entries must address leadership and community development in Osogbo/Olorunda/Irepodun/Orolu federal constituency; the current situation. However, entrants are encouraged to attempt this from their (own) perspectives.
√ Being an indigene of one of the four local government areas under Osogbo/Olorunda/Irepodun/Orolu federal constituency is a must and criterion for eligibility.
√ Essay must be between 1000 and 1,500 words; poem must not be more than 30 lines; and playlet and short story must be between 3,000 and 5,000 words.
√ PLAGIARISM attracts disqualification and ORIGINALITY shall be rewarded.

√ Passport, School ID card/School fees receipt, Certificate of Origin, and your work must not exceed 20kb, 50kb, 50kb and 2mb respectively.
